Accessibility Statement
Last updated: March 2026
MyGallery is committed to making its website accessible to people with disabilities, in accordance with the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law (1998) and Israeli Standard IS 5568 (ת״י 5568), based on WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
Conformance Level
Partially Conformant This site aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA and IS 5568, subject to the exceptions listed under "Known Limitations" below.
Improvements Made
A comprehensive accessibility audit and remediation was completed on this site, including:
- Keyboard navigation: The entire site is operable using keyboard only — including menus, forms, modals, and expandable sections.
- Visible focus indicator: All interactive elements display a visible blue focus outline when navigated by keyboard.
- Skip to content link: A "Skip to main content" link is available at the top of each page for faster keyboard navigation.
- Landmarks: The page structure uses
<header>,<nav>,<main>, and<footer>for accurate screen reader navigation. - Alternative text: All meaningful images have descriptive alt text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Color contrast: All text meets the minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio required by WCAG 2.1 AA.
- Accessible forms: Every input field has an associated label; validation errors are text-based and announced live to screen readers.
- Modal focus management: Opening a dialog traps focus inside it and returns focus to the trigger element on close. Pressing Escape closes any open dialog.
- RTL support: The site fully supports right-to-left layout when the Hebrew language is selected.
- Reduced motion: The site respects the
prefers-reduced-motionuser preference and disables animations accordingly. - High contrast mode: The site is compatible with Windows High Contrast (Forced Colors) mode.
- Accessibility toolbar: A persistent accessibility widget (reachable via the Tab key) offers three font size presets (A / A+ / A++), high contrast toggle, reduced motion toggle, link underlining, readable font, and heading highlight. All settings can be reset with one click and are saved between visits. Toolbar labels switch between Hebrew and English with the site language.
